Hello!
I’m Anna!
It’s nice to meet you!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. I have around five years of experience in both private practice and agency settings, which have allowed me to work with clients from a wide range of ages and life experiences. In this time, I have worked with people to address issues of depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family tension, and many other struggles. I have specific experience with LGBTQ+ clients, including sexuality and gender identity concerns.
As a humanist counselor, I believe the most important part of therapy is the client feeling heard and understood, so I strive to create that personal connection with my clients using empathy and authenticity. I really do want to get to know you so I can walk with you on whatever journey led you to seek counseling.
I also believe strongly in the healing power of the creative arts and humor, and I try to include them in my counseling when appropriate. Before I was ever a psychology major in school, I was an art major, so if you have any interest in art, don’t be scared to bring it up! Remember, art therapy isn’t about the end product, it’s about the process of making the art!
Seeking counseling is a big step, and I hope I can offer some relief for any struggles you are having right now. If you think we would work well together, then I look forward to hearing from you!
